Statue of Justice. This bronze statue of Justice stands on top of the Central Criminal Court or 'The Old Bailey' in the City of London. This representation of Justice was made by FE Pomeroy and erected in 1907. It is made from gilt bronze. As in traditional representations she is carrying a sword and scales. The statue has sparked controversy as Justice is traditionally represented as blindfolded, signifying the law as judging the criminal act by weighing the evidence alone and not being influenced by the station or rank of those involved.
