It is the largest dome in the world and will contain the Millennium Experience,an exhibition to celebrate the arrival of the year 2000. Panels (not yet present) in the roof's central hole will open and close automatically to control the temperature and keep out bad weather. Rainwater falling onto the roof will be collected, filtered and stored for use in the Dome's toilets. The Dome is 320 metres across and will be able to hold over 40,000 visitors | |
