Ceramic moulds used for precision investment casting being placed in a furnace prior to the final metal casting stage. The casting method is based on the production of a wax pattern,an exact replica of the finished metal casting. The wax patterns serve as templates for making ceramic moulds; the wax is subsequently melted & drained from the mould to make room for the metal. Individual moulds are formed on separate units, made by coating the wax patterns in liquid ceramic & drying in air & ammonia gas.
