Welding. Sparks fly as a welder uses an argon welder to join two metals together. The heat is provided by an electric arc, which has a bright white/blue light. Inert argon gas is pumped over the area to prevent the metals to be joined from reacting with the air in the heat. Welders wear protective face masks (upper centre) to protect their eyes from the bright light and sparks the welding produces. Welding is the process of using heat to fuse two pieces of metal together, usually with the aid of an easily-melted soldering metal | |
