HUET crash simulators. HUET (helicopter underwater escape training) is a compulsory 1-day survival course for people who travel by helicopter from the mainland to work offshore such as on oil rigs or large ships. The training exercises involve plunging the helicopter simulators (left and centre) into the deep pool (bottom),and the trainee 'passengers' must escape from them while underwater and within a time limit to pass the course. The HUET course also includes dry escape exercises, emergency landing procedures on both land and water, and using helicopter safety equipment such as lifevests and liferafts | |
