Firefighter. Firefighter in a protective suit tackles a chemical accident with a water hose. The suit covers the firefighter's whole body including the head. The firefighter is wearing an oxygen mask and is carrying his oxygen bottles within his suit on his back. Only a fire involving solid chemicals would be tackled using water. If the fire was oil-based,water would be ineffective as it is heavier than oil and therefore would not cover the burning surface. Foam is used to fight oil fires | |
