Digital ammeter. This device is used to measure electrical current (the amount of electrons flowing past a point in the circuit). This is measured in amperes (amps),and is closely related to the voltage of the power source and the resistance of the circuit. This is a digital ammeter, displaying the amount of current as digits on an LCD (liquid crystal display) screen, rather than by use of a moving needle on a dial (analogue). The voltmeter is connected to the circuit at the red (+) and black (-) points, and turned on and off by the switch at upper left. This model, from SATZ,is designed to measure currents of up to 10 amps DC (direct current) | |
