| Hemispherium building design. Wire-frame model of proposed office buildings at Longdenton,England,seen in the virtual reality (VR) Hemispherium. This is the world's finest immersive VR facility in 1999. The screen is a six metre wide dome,mounted vertically,giving an authentic 180 degree field of view in both horizontal and vertical planes. Seven projectors provide real-time computer graphics. The pilot (lower left) controls the view using a joystick. The wire-frame model shows the underlying geometry.
