Point-to-point map. Computer model of a point-to- point map. It shows the colour states of 5 million points in a network, after information transfer between them. Each point is connected to 2 others; it sends colour information to one and receives it from the other. Initially, most points had no colour. 500 were given unique colours, and each sent this information to one other point, fixing its colour. Colour information was transferred through the network, every point assuming the first of the 500 colours it received, before sending it on.
