Flexible circuits. These are printed electronic circuits that can be shaped and moulded according to requirements. They are made of polymer materials such as polyesters and polyimides. Flexible circuits are typically used in circumstances where weight or space requirements make the use of normal rigid circuit boards undesirable. Applications include satellites, rockets and the automotive industry. The first flexible circuits replaced complex traditional wiring looms that were time-consuming and costly to install | |
