The Robocup is an annual event in which teams of autonomous robots from an assortment of institutions play football against each other. This requires a high level of artificial intelligence. Humanoid robots have to be able to walk and take a kick. The aim of the competition is to develop a team of humanoid robots that can beat the best human side in the world by the year 2050.
