Kismet robot. Researcher Cynthia Breazeal with the Kismet android robot which she developed. Kismet has been developed for the study of action recognition and learning, particularly that of infants. Kismet has several "moods",which it displays as expressions on its face. Kismet responds to visual stimuli like a baby. Here it is looking happy probably because it has just received pleasing visual stimuli. When there are no stimuli,it shows a sad expression. Too much stimulation causes it to become distressed. Like a child,Kismet responds best to bright colours and moderate movements. Breazeal is a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Lab,MIT,USA | |
