Kismet robot. View of Kismet,a robot which respo- nds with facial expressions to actions, showing anger. Kismet has been developed for the study of action recognition and learning. Kismet has several "moods" which it can display. Anger is shown by a closed mouth, narrowed eyes and lowered eyebrows and ears. Researchers use movements (waving hands and moving toys) as visual stimuli. Kismet responds like a baby. When there are no stimuli,it has a sad face. During play,Kismet looks calm and happy. Over-stimulation causes distress and anger. Kismet has been developed by professor Rodney Brooks and Cynthia Breazeal at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory,MIT,USA | |
