Robocup 2003. Researchers from Cornell's Pig Red team celebrating victory in the Small Robot League at Robocup 2003. The Robocup is an annual event in which teams of autonomous robots from various institutions play football against each other. This demands a high artificial intelligence: the robots should be able to recognise a ball, move towards it and propel it towards a goal. The competition's aim is to develop a team of humanoid robots that can beat the best human side in the world by the year 2050. The cup has several leagues, including divisions for four-legged robots as well as humanoid robots. The 2003 event, the 7th Robocup, was held in Padua,Italy | |
