Asronaut Thomas Akers using the galley water supply to rehydrate a package of grapefruit juice during Mission STS-41 on Space Shuttle Discovery. The crew of each Shuttle flight is provided with a different menu for up to six days in dehydrated form,a total capacity of 30-days supply for seven astronauts being provided. Each day's menu contains 3000 calories,both hot and cold food and drinks are available. Solid foods may be eaten with a spoon or fork as normal,but liquid items,as seen here,are served in sealable containers.
