The constellation of Capricornus, the Sea Goat. Capricornus lies just south of the celestial equator, but is still visible to northern observers on evenings in early autumn. It is one of the twelve zodiacal constellations, lying between Aquarius and Sagittarius. In ancient times the whole area surrounding Aquarius was associated with water or rain. The Babylonians called it the Sea and populated it with ocean creatures like Capricornus,Cetus (the Whale),Pisces (the Fishes) and Delphinus (the Dolphin),all under the control of Aquarius.
