The image was taken on July 18 in green light. The site of the impact is seen as a small dark spot at bottom surrounded by two ring-like features. The inner ring is 80 percent of the size of Earth. The ssecond,smaller dark spot just to the left of the inner ring is the impact site of Fragment D,which struck at 11.24 GMT on July 17 | |
