The brightest of the planets seen just above the horizon is Venus. Left and slightly above Venus is the fainter Saturn. Above and slightly right of Saturn is Mars. Right and below Venus,not far above the horizon,is Mercury. At lower centre,below and left of Saturn,is the bright star Aldebaran (Alpha Tauri) in the constellation Taurus.
