The brightest of the planets seen just above the horizon is Venus. Below and right of Venus is the much fainter Mercury. Above and slightly left of Venus is Mars,and just to the left of Mars is Saturn. At lower centre,left of Venus and below Saturn,is the bright star Aldebaran (Alpha Tauri) in the constellation Taurus.
