Prosopometer. This instrument was designed to take serial measurements of the face and jaws during development. The photographs attached to the device demonstrate how it was worn. Before the introduction of profile radiographs this was the most effective method of studying facial growth. The prosopometer pictured here was demonstrated at the 1927 meeting of the British Society for the Study of Orthodontics | |
