Simulated emergency treatment. Doctor & assistant (seated) prepare to treat a simulated casualty who has stab wounds and is acting drunk. This is an ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) course at the Royal College of Surgeons in London,England. The course participants are qualified junior and senior hospital doctors,anaesthetists etc,who are being tested in trauma management techniques. The "patient" has made-up injuries,and is receiving oxygen. The casualty acts out his symptoms,having been brought in by emergency services from the scene of the accident.
