Model released. Researchers using the titration technique on the Lassa fever virus in a high containment laboratory. Titration is used to find the concentration of one compound in a solution by determining how much of this compound will react with a known amount of another compound in another solution. One of the solutions is measured and placed in a reaction vessel. The other solution is added a little at a time from a burette; the end- point of the reaction is determined with a colour indicator or an electrochemical device. The Lassa fever virus is confined to Central and West Africa and causes high fever, headache and severe muscular pain | |
