Jet Lag Visor. This "Brite-Lite Visor" reduces the jet lag effect on long distance travellers by shifting their biological clock. Worn on the head, the portable,battery-powered visor emits a bright light which shines on the eyes without the subject having to look directly at the lights. Light affects circadian rhythm, the internal biological clock that controls sleep-wake periods. The user enters their departure/arrival time into a computer program which calculates when the visor switches on and off to lessen jet lag. The computer screen here shows day/night division over earth. The visor was made by Circadian Technologies in Massachusetts,USA | |
