Jet Lag Visor. Woman wearing a Jet Lag Visor during a plane flight. Trade named the "Brite-Lite Visor",this visor lessens the jet lag effect on long distance travellers by shifting their biological clock. Worn on the head, the portable battery-powered visor emits a bright light which shines on the eyes without the subject having to look directly at the lights. Light affects circa- dian rhythm, the internal biological clock that controls sleep-wake periods. The user enters their departure/arrival time into a computer program which calculates the time the visor lights switch on,thus lessening jet lag. The visor was made by Circadian Technologies in Massachusetts,USA | |
