MODEL RELEASED. Male fertility test. Man holds up a negative-colour reaction tube indicating infertility and a colour chart from a Fertility Score home test kit. This home test kit is used to determine male fertility. It relies on a colour change (resazurin reduction test) to assess male sperm count and importantly, sperm mobility. Men with 20 million motile sperm per millilitre (ml) semen,or more, are fertile. Infertility is established when the motile sperm count is 10 million per ml,or less. From the colour chart,a sperm sample which changes colour to a shade of pink represents fertility; a colour change to purple/blue (as seen here) shows infertility | |
