VEGA diagnosis. A therapist performs a VEGA diagnosis on a patient. VEGA tests, also known as vegetative reflex tests, are used to measure the concentration of certain compounds within the body. The therapist has a rack of small tubes before him which contain homeopathic preparations of naturally occurring bodily substances. The therapist takes electronic readings from these tubes and compares this with a reading from acupuncture points on the patient's fingernail. A reading indicating an excess of any compound in the body is used to indicate the nature of the patient's ailment. Photographed at the Centre for Functional Medicine & Diagnosis, the Netherlands | |
