| VEGA test for allergies. Hands of a homeopath (background) perform a VEGA test to diagnose allergies in a female patient. A VEGA test,known also as a vegetative reflex test,measures the concentration of certain compounds within the body. Racks of small tubes (lower left) contain homeopathic preparations of naturally occurring bodily substances. The homeopath takes electronic readings from these tubes and compares this with a reading from acupuncture points on the patient's foot.
