Lariam anti-malarial drug. Pack of eight Lariam pills used in the prevention of malaria. The 250mg cross-scored white pills contain mefloquine. This powerful drug is taken in doses of one pill per week. The pack of eight is used for three weeks of travel to an area suspected of having malaria. One pill is taken one week before travel,one pill each week for three weeks away,and after return one pill per week for a month. Two packs may be taken for travel of up to seven weeks away (one pill before travel,four pills after return). Lariam should not be taken for more than twelve weeks in total.
