MODEL RELEASED. Antibody test. A doctor uses an oral swab to take a saliva sample from a young girl's mouth. The sample will be tested for antibodies against measles and rubella to make sure that the girl has been successfully vaccinated or is already immune. In some countries a combined vaccination against measles and rubella is given routinely to young children with the aim of eliminating the diseases from the population. At least 90% of children must be vaccinated in order to achieve this | |
