Prosthetic elbow joints. This artificial hinge joint consists of two parts. The metal part is attached to the end of the humerus,the upper arm bone. It fits inside the plastic part (top right),which is attached to the end of the ulna,one of the lower arm bones. Joints may need to be replaced due to injury or disease,such as arthritis.
