Blood sample storage. A library of blood samples in a cryogenic freezer. The samples are maintained at a temperature of -76 Celsius. This ensures that they can be kept for future research. Some of the samples seen here date back to 1978,and are kept for research into retinoblastoma,a rare tumour of the retina that occurs in infants. All of the samples are from retinoblastoma sufferers, and may give a clue to any genetic or enzymological causes of the condition | |
