EEG brain study. Subject undergoing an electro- encephalogram (EEG) test to study his brain activity. The 128 electrodes attached to his head each read the electrical potential of a different part of his brain. He is performing simple mathematical tasks (not seen) which allow the EEG to highlight the areas of his brain concerned with understanding mathematics. Different parts of the brain are concerned with multiplication and subtraction, for instance. Studies such as this allow insight into the learning process and give an understanding of the development of the brain | |
