Stethoscope. Stethoscope used to listen to noises made within the body by the heart,lungs and digestive system. It is comprised of two earpieces (at top),tubing,and a round sound-detecting device (silver). The sound-detecting device has a wide diameter diaphragm to listen to high-pitched sounds; the smaller concave bell side with hole is used to listen to low-pitched sounds. Internal noises can be heard by pressing the device against a patient's body.
