MODEL RELEASED. MODEL RELEASED. Tuberous breasts of a 16 year old girl. Tuberous,or tubular, breasts occur when the breasts develop abnormally to resemble a tubular shape rather than the traditional mound shape. They often point downwards due to a lack of supporting base mass. The breast tissue, without the normal width in which to expand, also often herniates through to the areola, giving the nipple/areola complex a swollen appearance. Although tuberous breasts will function as normal breasts do,some women may wish to undergo cosmetic surgery to correct the abnormality. For the breasts after surgery, see image M350/398 | |
