Conjoined twins,preserved in embalming fluid. These conjoined (siamese) twins are fused by the fronts of the head and chest with only one face. The medical name for this condition is cephalothoracopagus monosymmetros. Foetuses with this condition have not been known to survive. As with identical twins,conjoined twins result from the fertilisation of a single egg cell,but in this case the spitting of the embryo into two identical ones is incomplete | |
