Two-headed infant. Coloured X-ray of conjoined (siamese) twins. Each twin has its own head,neck and trachea (windpipe),but shares the rest of the body. Most two-headed infants are stillborn or die soon after birth. As with identical twins,conjoined twins result from the fertilisation of a single egg cell,but with conjoined twins the spitting of the embryo is incomplete
