The man had been taking the anticoagulant drug warfarin,which is prescribed to prevent the formation of abnormal blood clots. Abnormal clots can cause heart attacks and strokes. Warfarin has many side-effects,including nausea,loss of appetite and abdominal pain. Easy bruising is one of the most common side-effects.
