Intradermal naevus. A pigmented skin blemish,known as an intradermal naevus,seen on human skin. The ruler beside it measures centimetres. This brown blemish is caused by overactivity or abnormality of melanocyte pigment cells in the dermis of the skin. Intradermal naevi are the most common type of naevi found in adults.
