Peripheral vasoconstriction. Finger showing necrosis or gangrene (tissue death) due to peripheral vasoconstriction. The constriction of the finger's blood vessels means that not enough blood is reaching tissue at the end of the finger, causing gangrene. Treatment is with vasodilator drugs. In this case antibiotics will be necessary to stop the dead tissue from becoming infected, allowing the gangrene to spread | |
