Conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the conjunctiva (covering membrane) of the eye,in this case due to an allergen. This patient has atopic syndrome,a disorder where areas of her body become hypersensitive to an allergen,even though they have no direct contact with the allergen. Typical symptoms of atopic syndrome are allergic conjunctivitis and eczema,both of which the patient has,along with hay fever and asthma. Treatment is usually by taking antihistamines and by avoiding the cause
