He has a catheter attached to peripheral blood vessels in his hand. Down's syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality resulting in mental handicap and a characteristic physical appearance. People with Down's syndrome also have a higher- than-average incidence of heart defects,congenital deafness,and acute leukaemia.
