MODEL RELEASED. Reactive acanthosis. Image 2 of 2. 35-year-old man's burnt skin after treatment for reactive acanthosis. Reaction to an irritant has caused some of the skin cells to thicken producing a small benign (non-cancerous) growth. The growth was cut off and the skin cauterised (burnt) to kill the remaining tissue. For an image of the growth before treatment, see M108/617 | |
