Francois Huber. Historical portrait of Swiss naturalist Francois Huber (1750-1831). He is predominantly known for developing the practice of apiculture,or bee-keeping. Over a period of 50 years,he designed and constructed beehives and scientifically observed the behaviour of bees. His work laid the foundations for modern apiculture.
