William Huskisson. British politician William Huskisson (1790-1830),the first passenger killed by a railway train. Huskisson,a Tory member of parliament,was a firm supporter of the building of railways. He was invited by the directors of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway to attend the opening of the first public passenger railway.
