Digital restoration. Researcher archiving and restoring a medieval music manuscript onto a computer. She is using a purpose-built,high resolution scanner to digitally capture the pages of a manuscript. Each page is digitally archived onto hard drives,with each image up to 250 megabytes in size. This is part of the Digital Image Archive of Medieval Music (DIAMM) based at Oxford University,England. The DIAMM project aims to record polyphonic medieval music manuscripts into digital format.
