Stained glass window. This window depicts the signs of the zodiac with the Sun and Moon at the centre. The zodiac is the zone of the heavens containing the paths of the Sun,Moon and planets. When this was devised by the Ancient Greeks,only five planets were known making the zodiac about 16 degrees wide. The stars in it are grouped into twelve signs (constellations),each 30 degrees in extent.
