Tree frog research. Male biologist studying tree frogs (Phyllomedusa bicolor). These frogs produce peptides (small chains of protein-forming amino acids) from their skin glands. Some of the peptides have pharmaceutical properties, namely as painkillers (dermorphins) and antibiotics (dermaseptins). These frogs live in the Amazon.
