Marigold (Calendula officinalis) flower. This can be used medicinally in infusions for treating wounds,as it has an anti-inflammatory effect,and reduces pain. It is also used to treat bee or wasp stings. Drinking an infusion of marigold flowers helps to reduce a high temperature,as it promotes perspiration. As well as these medicinal uses,the flower can be made into a colourant for butter,and marigold oil can be used as an ingredient in perfumes.
