Oil pollution clean-up. Oil lying in an artificially-dug collection pool on a beach. The pollutant has been collected from along the nearby coastline following an oil tanker spill. The oil will be sucked out of the pool into road tankers (at upper centre) and taken away for proper disposal. The oil seen here comes from a slick which originated from a spill of about 70,000 tonnes of light crude oil from the oil tanker Sea Empress off the coast of Milford Haven,Wales,in February 1996.
