Millennium Dome. Aerial image of the Millennium,or Greenwich,Dome (white) in London,England. North is at top. The Dome,on the River Thames,is the largest dome in the world at over 300 metres in diameter. It will hold a large exhibition to celebrate the arrival of the year 2000. Bow Creek joins the Thames at centre and part of the Royal Victoria Dock (black) is to the East. Some gas- storing gasometers (cylinders) are at upper left,while the area called Canning Town is at upper right.
